CERTIFICATE COURSE IN INDIAN HEAD MASSAGE
Course Summary:
This Course is ratified by the International Register of Massage Therapists and is held over two days – 1 day one month where the work is carried out over the clothes, followed by home practice and the start of Case Studies, then back for 1 day the following month where work is carried out with oils. Students than have to carry on with home practice and finish Case Studies before receipt of IRMTCertificate.
During the course, the main emphasis is on the practical techniques of Massage and, by the end of the training period, students will be able to administer correctly and safely the techniques of Indian Head Massage.
Students will be required to study the theory aspects of this therapy and their knowledge will be tested using self assessment questionnaires. There is no end of course formal examinations to be forwarded for marking to the IRMTEB but there will be an In House final General Assessment which is forwarded to the IRMTEB
Certificates are awarded by the IRMT Exam Board by submission of Case Studies ,Assessments and final General Assessment
Entry Requirements:
Students must possess:
- a Certificate in Anatomy & Physiology
- a Diploma in Swedish Massage or similar
Qualified Hairdressers can have access to this course with their knowledge of skin and hair
