DIPLOMA IN SWEDISH MASSAGE

Course Summary:

Intensive Diploma Course in Swedish Massage leading to a professional qualification through the International Register of Massage Therapists Examination Board held as 10 modules over 6 months + Home Study & Practice

During the Course the main emphasis is on the practical techniques of Massage and, on completion of the Course, students will be able to administer correctly and safely all movements used in a full body massage. As well as working on one another, once they are able to competently carry out a massage, external models are used for practice in class

Throughout the Course, students are guided through the Theory aspects of Anatomy and Physiology in relation to massage using self assessment questionnaires which they will use throughout the Home Study period before completing a Mock Exam Paper, prior to sitting the formal IRMT examinations.

Students are required to complete 60 hours of practical Case Studies outwith the course to enhance their skills and these case studies are forwarded to the Examination Board with their examination papers.
