Aromatherapy Treatment
Aromatherapy in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire
This is a form of deeply relaxing massage movements, incorporating the use of specific essential oils specially blended to meet the needs of each individual client.
Essential Oils
Through the consultation process, the therapist determines the essential oils most suited to the client’s needs and blends these with a base oil. This can help with issues such as:
- Insomnia
- Aches & pains
- Stress & anxiety
- Hormonal imbalances
The warmed blended oils are absorbed through the skin into the blood stream and cells, working on the relevant organs and glands so that the beneficial effects continue long after the massage has finished.
Benefits of Aromatherapy
- Relaxes tense muscles
- Calms the mind
- Boosts circulatory flow
- Aids elimination of toxins
- Eases aches and pains
- Brings about a deep state of relaxation
Contra-indications
The same contra-indications as general massage apply to Aromatherapy, but additional care must be taken with the choice of essential oils, as each has its own considerations.
For instance, Rosemary – though helpful for aches and pains – should not be used for anyone with high blood pressure.
